Schell-Wheeler residence by Johnston Architects PLLC

24 Nov

Talented Seattle based architecture firm, Johnston Architects designed this stunning eco-friendly home for mountain guides Scott Schell and Margaret Wheeler in the foothills above Snoqualmie. The builders used trees blown-down by storms to provide the logs that were milled into siding, fascias and trim. A ground source heat pump, supplemented by solar water preheating, supplies energy to the house. Safintra roofing loves the sheet metal cladding of this light filled mountain forest retreat! Truly beautiful architecture in a magical setting.
