Cloudy House – Japanese Masterpiece by Takao Shiotsuka Atelier

14 May

What do you do when you are faced with designing a house in a former farmland with no significant views to speak of….Well the design response of Takao Shiotsuka Atelier was to create a structure that would fit in an open condition, as if it were still positioned in the farmland and fields of yesteryear. We love the neo-barnlike look, stunning cladding and the roof terrace. And the stairway bookshelf is to die for!

The Cloudy House is located in the suburbs of Oita, Japan.

(Sadly the architect’s website seems to be down for the moment. Will upload link as soon as it becomes available again.)
