I would have to say that if I had a kitchen with a view like this…..I would cook all day! This impressive home by David Vandervort Architects is situated in a heavily wooded waterfront property on Lopez Island in Washington. Care was taken to position the residence amongst the existing trees and existing slopes to make the most of the spectacular views. Its evident that artists are in residence in this home as it boasts his and hers “art spaces”. The studio is connected to the main house via an arcade, which also serves as the main entrance to the home. Extensive use was made of corrugated cladding accented by wood.
